Corn Pickers

Corn pickers harvest corn by stripping the stalks near the ground and separating the ears from the rest of the plant. The process begins as the machine pulls the stalks into the header, sending them through an intake conveyor belt. As the ears move through the machine, a fan system blows the remaining stalks back into the field while the ears are transported to a collection area. This method works for both fresh corn and seed corn, and allows farmers to gather whole, intact ears efficiently.

Traditional corn pickers leave the ears intact, unlike combines, which shell the kernels during the process. These machines are ideal for operations where preserving the entire ear is necessary, such as seed production or specific fresh market requirements.
